It starts with Python
I have experience in front end stuff. Mainly HTML/CSS/Jscript and copied pixel for pixel a companys website as part of my portfolio. without inspecting the actual websites code.
JavaScript was hell, I wrote it manually so it was pre ECMA Script2016 just so it could run on internet explorer. that was writing the syntax after its implementation.
I wont trauma dump anymore, this was five years ago!
The Why
After a slew of diminishing job opportunities I needed to improve my job marketplace value. Despite the doomer take of tech being saturated, I couldn’t quite see myself being a plumber.
Instead, I took the Alan watts perspective and focused on what I enjoyed – coding. Ironically, between now and five years ago, my jobs weren’t in tech at all. Anyways,
Python is a gateaway point to a new career, new skills that can pay the bills… Hopefully more.
it’s a friendly language with a clean syntax and amazing community. Not to mention frameworks that suit all purposes. It’s also great for machine learning stuff, which is what im interested in. It’s what the world is interested in.
The How
So after vibe coding Shaco badly I decided to take a step back and understand more about python. Currently taking a python crash course by Eric Matthes which is an amazing read.
Then, I will start building stuff, looking into what frameworks will enable me to do that + get a job.
